Yes, there is a fine on overdue library items now.  This went into effect on June 8, 2015, so any overdue DVDs will be charged .50 a day, books and CDs will be .10 a day. 

There will be a five day grace period so as long as you turn in the item(s) on the day it's due (or during the five day grace period) you won't have to pay any fine at all.
